Information Privacy Policy

 

WPS & Associates maintains procedures designed to protect the confidential/privacy of information about our Association Members and their Shippers requiring re-verification.  Other than under the limited exceptions explained here, we do not to share this confidential information outside our direct company operations.

WPS will disclose Shipper or Associate Member information only to fulfill a Known-Shipper re-verification request, if required by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to:

• Cooperate with the investigations of purported unlawful activities conforming to the edicts of a law enforcement agency or to comply with a legal process served against WPS & Associates.
• Protect and defend the rights of the WPS its related proprietary rights or copyrights.
• Identify persons who may be violating; any Local-State-Federal law, the WPS Designated Agent Agreement, or unauthorized use of WPS & Associates confidential information.

While WPS & Associates uses reasonable precautions to keep the information disclosed to us secure. We reserve the right to transfer all such information in connection with the sale of all or part of capital stock or assets. We will only use information in the ways specified when the information was collected. We will not subsequently change the way in which we use members confidential information, unless that member consents to the new usage.

In addition, WPS & Associates retains the services of outside Agents to provide services for us. We require that these contractors keep the information of Shippers and Associate Members secure and confidential.
